When it comes to the property clauses of the FAR, DFARS, NFS and Green Book, there remains a great deal of confusion about the definitions surrounding what constitutes “marked property.” (HINT: It’s not the IUID which is akin to a VIN).

Ironically, the subject of the talk was not about any of these definitions, but about how asset tags should be like license plates on motor vehicles (distinct from but linked to the VIN/IUID)…
